Customization & Product Development FAQs
Find answers about custom tooling and product development for OEM projects. These FAQs explain when new tooling may be required, when existing molds may be suitable, and how Four Brothers can support development from 2D drawings or physical samples.
Do custom products always require new tooling?
No. New tooling is usually required for custom shapes, dimensions, or logos, but some standard items may be produced with existing molds if the specifications are compatible.
• Custom shapes, dimensions, or logos normally require dedicated tooling.
• Standard items such as snaps, nailheads, rivets, eyelets, and washers may use existing molds, subject to size, specification, and design compatibility.
Can you develop products from drawings or samples?
Yes. We can support product development from 2D drawings or physical samples, with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review and engineering support.
We accept:
• 2D files: PDF, JPG, PNG
