a) Tiffany mounts style: Prongs of Tiffany settings pass trough from the back of leather or fabric and then hold the rhinestone in place. Prongs are exposed on the surface. Customers can apply them by hand tool or foot press machine with die sets. Tiffany settings are excellent for mounting Swarovski or glass rhinestones. However, if the prongs are not mounted properly, snagging and stone fallen problems could happen!
b) Rose Pins Rhinestones on prong settings: These are new products from Swarovski. The crystal is attached with adhesive to a pronged setting. From the surface, the rims or prongs are invisible and it looks like hot fix effect. However, if the adhesive is not strong enough, the crystal will come off easily.
c) Stones in prong settings: These are preset rhinestone or half round stone with short claws at the back to hold the stones and the rims are visible from the surface. They can be set with hand tools or press machines, the same application method as metal nailheads. There is no snagging problem and they can be applied on any material properly.
